Tuesday evening White Sox– The Rangers game at Guaranteed Rate Field has been called off, the team announced after a rain delay that lasted more than 90 minutes.
The match resumes on Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. (CT). The second game starts about 30-45 minutes after the first game ends; the second game will start no earlier than 7:10 PM (CT).
Garrett Crochet threw four pitches Tuesday before the grounds crew rolled the tarp onto the field because of the rain. Unfortunately, Crochet’s start is scrapped. Chris Flexen will start the shutout game on Wednesday. The second game start for the White Sox remains TBD, but indications are that it will be a bullpen game, according to Sox Machine’s James Fegan.
Fans who initially have tickets for tomorrow’s match at 19:10 can attend both matches of the doubleheader. Season ticket holders, individual suite holders and concourse ticket holders will receive a credit to their accounts for game tickets and parking.
