The 2024 Paris Olympics came to one star-studded and extraordinary close Sunday, with more than two weeks of competition culminating in a night of big performances and a handoff fit for Hollywood.

The closing ceremony will air on NBC 5 again in prime time, starting at 6 p.m. CT.

American flag bearers
Katie Ledecky and Nick Mead led Team USA as flag bearers during the ceremony.
Ledecky served four swimming medals in Paris, giving her a total of 14 Olympic careers. Her finishes include gold in the 800m and 1,500m freestyle, silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay and bronze in the 400m freestyle.
Mead, meanwhile, helped the United States end a 64-year drought win gold in the men’s four rowing event.
This was the first time the United States has had two flag bearer for an Olympic closing ceremony.
