Two teenage boys were seriously injured in a shooting Saturday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, according to Chicago police.
The boys, 15 and 17, were near the front of a residence in the 4800 block of South Winchester Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. when someone in a vehicle drove by and opened fire, police said.
The 15-year-old received a gunshot wound to the abdomen and the 17-year-old was shot in the arm and armpit. Both victims were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, according to police.
Detectives investigated and no arrests had been made, police said.
