Observations from Jets training camp practice on Saturday.
An impressive guy
Robert Saleh said Aaron Rodgers ‘Looks Like He Never Missed a Time’ after Achilles surgery and called him “an impressive dude” after the returning quarterback ran more than 40 plays during the Jets’ Green-White scrimmage in sweltering conditions Saturday at Florham Park.
Not as impressive
Not much to complain about, even downtown Joe Tippmann sent an airmail with a shotgun over Rodgers’ head and running back Isaiah Davis lost a fumble.
Rodgers reports
Rodgers led three drives that resulted in field goals against the Jets’ first-string defense.
He unofficially completed 19 of 30 passes for about 210 yards.
Caught my eye
The lone touchdown pass during the scrimmage was a downfield connection between running back Tyrod Taylor and wide receiver Jason Brownlee.
Damage report
Cornerback Michael Carter II is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with an ankle problem.
Offensive tackle Tyron Smith (rest) also did not practice.
