Killer Asian Hornet Invasion
Killer Asian hornbeats are set to invade British homes over the weekend in a French-inspired bank holiday.
The number of queens on the Channel Islands, which are considered to be the basis of the insect ‘British Islands’, has tripled in the past week.
German experts, who have been at the forefront of the fight against deadly insects, say the biggest increase is due to “strong winds” from major European winds.
This UK native has raised fears of a summer war to stem the spread of bee-infested insects.
According to Aristar Christie, who leads the invading team, the number of queens this year has risen from nine to 27 last week – the first nest is expected “from now on.”
