A shocking video has emerged in which a police officer appears to ‘stamp on a man’s head’ after throwing him at an airport. The video was filmed yesterday by an onlooker at Manchester Airport – who said they were “frozen” when they witnessed the incident. The traveler – who did not want to be named and who filmed the video – said: “I wanted the police to stop but just froze – I was worried they were going to start shooting.” A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers were called to reports of an altercation between members of the public in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. “While attempting to arrest one of the suspects in the earlier altercation, three officers were subjected to a violent assault, where they were knocked to the ground. “One female officer suffered a broken nose and all three were taken to hospital for treatment. “As the officers present were firearms officers there was a clear risk that their firearms were taken from them during this attack. “Four men were arrested at the scene for defrauding and assaulting emergency staff. “We acknowledge the concerns about the behavior in the video, and our professions directorate is assessing this.”
