Several vehicles entered Minnesota Governor Tim Walz motorcades were involved in a minor crash en route to a campaign stop in Wisconsin on Labor Day, which caused some minor injuries, Walz said.
“Some of you may have heard that some of my staff and members of the press who were traveling with us were involved in a traffic accident on the way here today,” Walz said at a campaign event Monday after the crash. “We’ve spoken to the staff. I’m relieved to say that with a few minor injuries, everyone will be fine. So thank you.”
He added that the vice president Kamala Harris and President Biden, who campaigned together on Monday, “called to check in, and we really appreciate their concern. And I want to express my sincere thanks to the US Secret Service and all the local first responders for their quick response to help. So , on behalf of the Vice President, myself and our entire campaign, we are grateful for your work today and every day.”

Earlier in a pool report, a reporter said a Walz employee appeared to have a broken arm and was being treated by medics at the scene.
The crash happened between vans near the back of the motorcade just before 1 p.m. while it was on its way from the airport to LaborFest on Monday.
“Everyone else is shaken up but seems to be in okay shape,” the pool reporter added. “We were thrown violently forward, when our van ran into the one in front of us and was hit from behind.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to the Harris campaign for comment.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
After his speech at LaborFest, Walz went to a hospital to visit injured staff.
