Wanted Eastbourne man detained

A man wanted by the police for not attending the court was detained.

Darren Fiekert, 51, of Eastbourne, who does not have a fixed address, was charged with four traffic offenses and was referred to Hastings Magistrates’ Court on 10 November.

After being detained again on Wednesday, Fiekert said: Brighton The Criminal Court of Peace was found not guilty of not stopping a vehicle when deemed necessary by the police and not providing a sample for analysis.

He was found guilty of driving without insurance and without a license on a public road.

Fiekert has been released on conditional bail and will appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 16 December.
