Murdering a police officer in the line of duty is one terrible thing to do. Not surprisingly, the police take it super personally, almost like every time they put on their uniform and walk out of the house, they don’t know if it’s last time they see their family. When a drug dealer shot and killed one New Mexico State Police officer, the entire force and police officers from nearby agencies went hard to take him down.
See what happens when a security guard allegedly tries to stop an off-duty police officer.
Officer Darian Jarrott pulled over a white pickup truck driven by Omar Felix Cueva just outside of Deming, New Mexico. It was him poorly prepared for the repeat offender and drug dealer who was armed and ready to kill.
With their colleague dead, every cop in the area pulled out the stops and went hard to find the cop killer.
Pulling out all the stops apparently means one Camaro from a local police department leading the chase. We don’t see many police Camaros these days and when we do, like police Mustangs, they’re usually unmarked with the lights embedded in the grill, headlights/taillights, etc. This one instead has roof lights, which is just super weird to see on a 6th gen.
What’s even better is seeing the muscle car do a PIT maneuver on Cueva’s truck. Because the Camaro is low to the ground, and we’re assuming it’s equipped with a push rod on the nose, it can pull off a TVI with incredible precision. This makes us wonder why more departments haven’t used Camaros for chases.
Cueva was reportedly ready for a fight. What the police didn’t know was that he was wearing a bulletproof vest. You see in the dashcam footage right after the PIT in the Camaro exits, gun fired and is immediately shot by Cueva rushing towards him.
That’s when several other law enforcement officers open up on Cueva. Despite many of his vital organs being covered by the vest, he was still killed by the hail of bullets.
