A blonde bob may be the ultimate fall accessory—at least according to Kendall Jenner.
The influencer and reality star, 28, unveiled a new look on Instagram with the simple caption “blonde,” on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and social media has been buzzing about her new look.
According to Voguethe fashion world had been anticipating this change for weeks, during what they called “Jennerwatch.” Fans were surprised when she appeared in the Alaïa show with her signature brunette locks.
Jenner’s colorist Jenna Perry told the outlet that she needed “two days to get her this gorgeous shade of golden blonde.” Perry has guided Jenner through previous hair transitions, including the ginger look she debuted for a Prada show in 2022. This time, Perry says, Jenner “is really inspired by the ’90s and Caroline Bessette-Kennedy right now.” Caroline Bessette-Kennedy, wife of John F. Kennedy Jr., was known for her blonde bob until her untimely death in a plane crash.
Vintage influences were definitely visible in Jenner’s Instagram carousel of photos, where she accessorized with a very ’90s clip and a simple black headband that InStyle compared to Brigitte Bardot.
In the comments, half-sister Khloé Kardashian simply wrote, “Damn.” The transformation received a lot of praise from Jenner’s friends, fans and family. Fellow model and close friend Gigi Hadid appeared overwhelmed with delight as she wrote “Stoppp itttt omg🥹🥹🥹” in the comments, while eldest half-sister Kim congratulated her on making the change. “You did it!!! ✨✨✨” wrote the 43-year-old mogul.
“MOMMY SLAYS EVERY HAIRSTYLE,” wrote one of Jenner’s 291 million Instagram followers, while many others “blonde Kendall is back!” or similar variations in sensation.
Jenner has indeed gone blonde once before, with a warm blonde look in 2019. She also wore a blonde wig for her 2023 Halloween costume, channeling Marilyn Monroe.
