In Year 1 of the Jordan Love era, the Packers took a monster leap just halfway through the 2023 season.
They’re poised to do it again in his second season as QB1 in Green Bay.
After opening last season 3-6, the Packers would finish the season 6-2, en route to a 9-8 record and an NFC wild card berth, carrying momentum into the postseason.
The Packers would upset the Cowboys in the first round before nearly pulling off an even bigger upset against the 49ers before falling in a 24-21 thriller.
For all they showed in the second half and postseason, Love and Co. remain. well outside the inner circle of Super Bowl contenders in the eyes of the oddsmakers.
The packs are +1900 (DraftKing’s Sportsbook) to win the 2025 Lombardi Trophy, giving NFL punters a great opportunity to bet on this young team taking another step.
Green Bay added safety Xavier McKinney to bolster its pass coverage and running back Josh Jacobs as a younger replacement for Aaron Jones, but the biggest improvement may come from the players already on the roster.
Take Love’s receiving corps, which features four talented wideouts all 25 years old or younger in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks.
Their offensive line is also among the youngest in the NFLwhich leaves plenty of room for growth in 2024.
Bet on the NFL?
The defense also has a chance to be in the top half of the league or better after bringing in McKinney and investing plenty of draft capital on that side of the ball.
And with Matt LaFleur, one of the top coaches in the NFL, on the sidelines, don’t be shocked if the Packers are the last team standing, even if it seems a little early for this group.
The play: Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl (+1900).
