A 49-year-old woman was fatally shot while sitting on the front porch of a West Pullman home at approximately 9:33 p.m. Friday night, Chicago police said.
A man with a concealed driver’s license who was on the front porch with the victim then responded to the assailant, who fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
The woman suffered gunshot wounds to the face and arm and was transported in critical condition from the 11800 block of S. Indiana Avenue to Roseland Community Hospital. She was pronounced dead there, the police say.
Police found a gun, but no arrests have been made.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
